Hobo Coffee has some space outside for working and comfortable indoor seating. It is on the small side and will be very busy in the summer due the high level of visitors to the old town. The downside is the size as the tables are very close together. A good range of salads, cakes, coffees and teas awaits you.

Café Frei is a highlight of the Nice Café scene and is one the Riviera Living top work cafés. You have a choice of coffee styles from around the world, think Arabian style coffee, New York coffee, French, Italian… the list goes on. Whilst this isn’t primarily set up as a work café it performs well as there is good air-con in the summer, free Wifi (some sites are blocked), outdoor seating space, great lunch options, alcohol options, comfortable banquette style seating and the staff are some of the best in the town.

They also have gift cards and run a receipt raffle every month. You can get a nice filter coffee Americano for €2.50.

Come with your laptop fully charged as there are only a couple of charge points.

They cater for a wide variety of appetites and being a Vegan friendly restaurant they dub there menu ‘flexitarian’ as they also cater for meat eaters too. The space is warm and inviting and the staff are friendly and polite.

La Popote d’Ondine is not essentially a work café however many people choose this location to sip a coffee and get on with some work. There is plenty of space inside and outside. Be warned this is a very popular lunch spot so maybe get there before or after lunch service. Charging points are limited.

The café is and inviting which is aided by the relaxing easy listening playlist and bi-lingual friendly staff. The decor is modern, the seats inside are a little hard for a long working day, however, there are a lot of charge points which is a bonus.

It’s popularity has led it to franchise and it now has four locations in Nice, one in; Cannes, Mougins, Antibes, Sophia Antipolis and Polygone Riviera.

Expect to feel a bit cramped but the coffee and cookies are so good you may quickly forget that. Make sure you come with your laptop fully charged as there are not active charge points in all of the locations.
